The swimming pool is Selfoss is located nearby the town centre and grocery store Kronan. The exact location is Tryggvagata 15, 800 Selfoss, which just one turn next to the Arion bank. You will see the big building on your left side, where you can also park your car. The pool is a walking distance from most of the restaurants, hotel Selfoss or hotel South Coast, so you can just leave your car there and walk to the pool (or gym).

The closest swimming pool to Selfoss is the one in Stokkseyri, small village close to the ocean. This pool doesn´t have so many hot tubs or amenities at all and the opening time is shorter there, so we don´t recommend it as a good alternative to the pool in Selfoss.

Another pool, which is often visited by locals and tourist is the swimming pool in Hveragerdi. Its not very far away, but it´s as well smaller to the Selfoss pool.

However, there are no nearby natural hot springs to pool in Selfoss. In the village of Hveragerdi, there is a well-known geothermal region where you can find not only another bathing pool but also a hot river.

Hot river Reykjadalur near Hveragerdi

Although the hot valley and river Reykjadalur are undoubtedly worth visiting, we do not suggest it if you are trying to just relax at the end of the day. There is hike which takes around a hour (5 km) and have a steep hill to get to the hot river, so it´s more like an active trip than a relax in the end of the day.
