Djúpivogur is a village in eastern Iceland. Not far from the village is Papey Island. 368 people live here. The geographical coordinates are 64 ° 39 ‘north latitude and 17 ° 00’ west longitude. It is the oldest port in the Eastern Fjords (on the Berufjördur Fjord), which has existed since the 16th century, when German merchants transported and traded goods there.

The oldest building is the so-called Langabúd, a wooden port warehouse from 1790. Today it houses a tourist information center, a café and a museum of woodcarver Rikard Jonsson and local historical artifacts.
