It will be no problem for you to find a the local swimming pool in Stykkishólmur. You can just drive into the town and drive straight on the main road, until you get to the grocery store Bónus there, where you can do your shopping. If you see Bónus, you will also see the building of swimming pool, which is just on the right side, with the parking lot. There is almost always some free parking spot and you don´t have to pay for the parking there.

The closest alternative, little bit more expensive to the pool in Stykkishólmur is not so well known place called geothermal baths Lýsuhólslaug. This place is open daily from 11-21 o´clock and the entrace cost is 1500 ISK for adults and 500 ISK for kids. The place offers a big pool and small hot tubs as well with healthy algae water.
The other alternative for you can be swimming pool in Grundarfjordur, which is not very far away. It´s little bit cheaper and you can find there similar pool and hot tubs as in the pool in Stykkishólmur. The opening hours are similar, only on Friday is the pool in Grundarfjordur open longer.
