Similar to practically every small town, Blönduós also has a community pool where you may relax and rehydrate after a day of travel on chilly, wet days throughout the year. There are a few slides and a very small, 25-meter pool. Just next to the swimming pool is gym and travelers can you use nearby camping places for stay over.
Please be aware that before entering the water, all visitors must take a full shower without wearing a swimsuit.

The swimming pool in Blönduós is located next to the local sportscenter. This swimming pool is 25 metres long, 8,5 metres wide and next to the main pool are 2 hot tubs, sauna and waterslides. In the same building where is the pool located is possibility to use local gym.
Prices and tickets
The cost of the swimming pool in Blönduós is acceptable and is a little less than the Icelandic average. Adults must pay the usual admission fee of 1050 ISK, however children and senior citizens are given a discount. Using the package for 10 visits, which is a little less expensive, is an option if you live close by or plan to stay in the area for an extended period of time. Both cash and credit cards are accepted for ticket purchases.

Adress, location and contacts
As you can see on the map below, getting to swimming pool in Blönduós is very easy. After you arrive to the town on the main road (from north or south), you just need to turn on one crossroad and you will already see the waterslides at the pool. Just next the pool and local sportcenter is a free parking lot and then it´s just a few meters to the main entrance of the sport center building, where you can buy admission to the swimming pool.
