Hörgshlíðarlaug hot pool

Imagine traveling to a remote location in the north of Iceland, between the mountains, and coming across a small concrete pool that has been abandoned right next to it. If you drive next to the Hörgshlarlaug without being aware of it, you might experience this.

This is a small pool that can be found while driving around the small fjord Mjóifjörur.

The temperature of around 40 °C is ideal for relaxing and taking a short bath, and those who like to stay fit can even cool off in the nearby ocean.

The pool may not appear to be very large in the photos, but its length of 6 metres and depth of around 80 cm are sufficient for you and a few other visitors.

There is no admission fee, and you can use the shared restroom. The only thing you need to bring is your swimsuit and towel to relax in Hörgshlarlaug.
